This is my first ever Dreamcatcher. I was inspired by this beautiful red and silver dreamcatcher here: http://www.theringlo...r-dreamcatcher/ . It's approximately 9 inches in diameter. Stainless steel and anodized aluminum and scales.

Very nicely done...and a fine tribute to your source of inspiration.

This is absolutely wonderful.......both ring weaves are nice and tight, everything is centered correctly. I know this because I've been doing chainmaille dreamcatchers since 2002, go and check the Gallery out and you'll see a few of them there.
Keep up the good work, feel free to ask any questions.
Good to see someone else giving them a go too. .gif)

what weave did you use for the outer ring?? it looks absolutely perfect as far as the rigidity.
Thank you for the praise! I'm not sure what the weave around the rings is called (or if it even exists), I started with this weave here: http://cgmaille.com/...ragonback.shtml called dragonback, But stopped at step 7. The weave automatically likes to curl in on it self, so I wrapped it around a steel ring I got for $1.50 at the Hobby store, and connected the two sides together. Basically instead of connecting the two sides as in step 8, i connect the out side rings on the backside instead. The weave is probably out there, but I'm not sure what it's called. It is riged if you pull it tight around the ring, but it takes some careful maneuvering to close the ring. Sorry if this is confusing, I'm much better at doing things than i am at describing how I did them. .gif)
ok so you did half dragonback then wrapped it around a hoop. that's spectacular!
what size rings are used for the hoop?? i've got about fifteen different ideas that this application would fit
