Turtle #3
This was my third maille turtle. The way that the washers of the shell overlap in a tight Japanese 6-based weave make the shell naturally dome shaped and very rigid. I wanted to try a few things differently with this one than my first turtle. The shell is larger than that of my first turtle by one row of washers all around; and a greater variety of non-standard rings were used (along with regular stainless maille links of several sizes) - Washers, as well as parts from disassembled bicycle and chainsaw chains.
