Scales - all materials and sizes
Malkavian replied to Eduardo Barron's topic in TheRingLord Stock Updates
Hi, I recently asked about SCALE-SM-AABLK and Z-SCSM-TBA-BLK and got the reply two weeks ago that they should be restocked in 2-3 weeks. Does this reply from yesterday mean the information's changed and the Z_SCSM_TBA_BLK will not be stocked soon? -

Thank you! -
I understand. Thanks for the reply, I've just e-mailed. :-)

I recently purchased a bag of the special listing of AA 12g 1/2" (ZRNG-AA4). It says that they are the same as the other standard saw cut Silver, but those I got are duller than other AA Silver rings.

Do you have an ETA for the black ball chain, CHAIN-BALL-Black? Thanks! -

That's too bad. I half hoped it was only my bag somehow. So now I'll just have to wait for 800 bags to be bought until I get a new one. (And yes, cloudy is a better description of this than dull. I had a felling I could describe it better, but couldn't think up a good word. Oh, well, English is not my first language..)

A bag of 16g 7/32" that I recently got that should be Bright Silver was indeed silver in color, but it seemed a bit dull when I picked up the bag. At first I thought I had gotten some Bright Aluminum by mistake, but when I opened the bag and compared with some Bright Alu I can see it is slightly whiter, so it must be anodized. It's almost as if there's a slight coating on it that hinders the usual sparkly shine. Had it been Bright Aluminum, I would say it needed a good tumble. ;-) I'm not at all happy with it, since this makes it difficult to use in combination with other sizes of Bright Silver. While it's not a huge difference, it is noticable when comparing with other rings and (for example) a graduated Byzantine chain looks rather bad when the focus point is duller than the rest. I wonder if it's only my bag (SXAA16732silver) that was this way, of if it's the whole batch?

Happy to hear about the 18 7/32" and super-happy about the 16 7/32"! I don't have such a large production that I can order a custom batch at the moment, but will consider it if the need becomes more pressing. Thanks!

I have a few questions on your sizes in saw-cut AA: First of all, , in 20 g you have four sizes with an AR of 3.0, 3.6, 4.2 and 5.3. Those are very good options to choose from. In 19 g you have three sizes with an AR of 3.6, 4.1 and 5.0. Fairly good options, but there are no really small (AR 3.0) or really large (AR>5.3). Are you planning a larger size in 19g? In 18 g you have three sizes with an AR of 3.3, 4.2 and 5.5. Fairly good options (but I imagine there would be a market for a size between 4.2 and 5.5.) Are you planning any smaller (AR 3.0) or medium sized rings (AR 4.5-5.0) in 18g? In 16 g the options in AR are 4.1, 5.2 and 6.3. These are very different sizes than the other gauges. The size with AR 3.1 only exist in machine-cut. And even if that would be available in saw-cut, that's a size with limited options for weaves. There's nothing at all in the AR-range of 3.3-3.7 (perfect for common weaves like byzantine and barrel). Are there any plans on making saw-cut rings with a smaller AR than 4.1? And if so, will that be the 3/16" (AR 3.1) or something slightly larger (around 3.5)?
