Announcing Strong Engineered Plastic Rings
Pat C. replied to Eduardo Barron's topic in What's New at The Ring Lord
I just figured out something about the Delrin rings. Or at least a probable something since I don't have any of the rings to actually experiment with. On the Order page it says they haven't figured out a good adhesive to fuse the Delrin. From what I can find the melting point of Delrin is 347 degrees F(175C) so you could probably use a soldering iron if you really wanted to fuse them.I doubt it would look pretty without a lot of work soldering carefully and then probably shaping with a Dremel after it hardened if you really wanted to neaten it up. Even with a weave dense enough for cool looking armor it should still be super light. Maybe Jon or Bernice can try it out and let us know if my theory actually works? Pat -

Butterfingers What was the worst Halloween treat/trick that you ever got?

I have the hots for titanium. All my personal jewelry is titanium, I have a titanium plate in my chin and I just in general love that it's hypoallergenic but tougher than just about anything else. I like stainless because that's tough and hypoallergenic too, as proven by the screw in my foot. Just like Blind Maille I'm intrigued by niobium though and have a customer who is super sensitive so I'm going to get some Niobium wire and make posts out of it for earrings. If she reacts to that its got to be a physical reaction to something in her ear rather then a biocompatibility thing. Can't hurt to try.

Automatic, if only because I have never known anyone with a stick shift to learn from. Favorite baked good/dessert?

Thanks for the info. I don't have any related sort who will work for free and I have no one who needs rides so I'm out of luck I guess.

Calisandra, where did you find/acquire/produce your minions?

Thanks Zero, I found the titanium posts. I couldn't find them last time I ordered thru Rio Grande. I don't need to worry about soldering/welding anyway because I'm making wooden jewelry. Welding wood is no good ya know. I wish they had a larger pad size, so maybe TRL will be able to find some for me. The Rio Grande site says it's a closeout item anyway so I'm going to stock up.

Hey everybody, Have you ever considered getting titanium earring posts? I haven't been able to find them anywhere and have gotten the french hooks from you before. I have a customer whose wife can't even wear stainless(what she may have tried might not have been surgical, but they don't want to take a chance) and I was thinking that titanium might work for her. she can't wear dangly earrings because of their toddler and so I need posts. If you dont want to bring them in for some reason, do you know where I might be able to get them? Thanks guys, Pat C.

I know this is technically baking but anyways... Blueberry muffin pudding: 8-10 large stale blueberry muffins cubed and toasted 3 cups whole milk 2 cups heavy cream 10 eggs 1/4 cup vanilla extract(2 oz) Cinnamon and Nutmeg to taste 1. Preheat oven to 375 F 2. Combine liquids and spices and whisk till combined 3. Fill a 13x9x2 pan with muffin cubes and press down(I use one of the disposable foil pans to make cleanup easier) 4. Pour the liquid mixture over the muffins and fill almost to the top 5. Cover with foil 6. Place pan inside a larger deep pan 7. Place pans on middle rack of oven 8. Carefully pour water into outer pan, filling until half way up inner pan 9. Bake 1-1 1/2 hours or until pudding looks quite firm, checking water level and refilling if needed 10. Remove foil and bake 20-30 min. until Golden Brown and Delicious 11. Let cool fully(or as long as you can resist) 12. Serve with ice cream and whipped cream I know it seems difficult but it really isn't that technical. Just lots of simple steps. I actually did this on a grill once, didn't have an oven and wanted to challenge myself. Just kept the grill as low as I could. If anybody tries this let me know what you think.

Umami is the Japanese word for The "Savory" taste bud. What is Unagi?

Oh come on, you need to take risks in life.... Moon landing was half real half faked. No humans, just martians that landed there. What country is going to win the most medals at the upcoming olympics?

It's more "Truth" than dare since nobody is actually daring people to do stuff. Would you actually do something if I dared you to?

Well that depends on if it has just eaten or not, if it's full then the circumference is twice the diameter of it's third antler. Empty its three times it's seventeenth antler. What is the antipolar opposite of purple?

We park on a driveway because we drive to get there and we don't drive on a parkway here because there's always traffic. Whats the square root of a square?
