Pink Armor...yes I said Pink Armor

Nope failed miserably. I was thinking back to the post where someone inverted the scales, I was thinking of putting a pattern on the back that would stick out like bas-relief however they lay just as flat as the rest, i even tried putting 2 scales on top of each other, one the normal way, and 1 inverted. but it gets too tight and cause the entire thing to pull. If I only interlock the inner layer(close to body) with 4 rings it doesnt pull, but the scales wont stay neatly lined up, they flop around and get behind each other. kinda a mess. Although the "Tight" scales would work great for shoulders if you wanted them to stand up nicecly and not move around. I'll post a pic when i get home..

Calisandra, i'm looking at your project all over going back and forth then I remembered another topic from a month ago, and i got a Crazy Idea. I'll share it as soon as i see if it is viable, If it is, I think people will go crazy for it Must order metric buttload of scales ASAP

Calisandra, I absolutely Love it. the way you used the rings in the front to accentuate cleavage was great! I hope you dont mind if I (ahem) borrow the design for my wife. Also, I noticed you were using something to keep the back straight. I had the same issue with a piece I did a few months back. I ended up putting 2 rings on each of the open scales along the line, and attaching each one to the two beside it, it keeps it somewhat taunt. It worked out fairly well. At first I tied a lanyard through them, and hid the ends inside the armor attached with lobster clasps, but I didnt like the arangement, it tended to pull the two attachment points slightly , causing the scales to spread a bit. Oh and at the ends of the line, i also added an extra ring to attach to. I can upload a pic if you want(at work atm). It's not Perfectly straight, but it also doesnt sag like it would unacompanied. looks more like a T-Shirt would, rounded.

I know this seems petty but...

I can't seem to find your followup topic to this one(cant remember the title) where you started weaving these backwards. I had a couple questions, how did it yurn out? and when it hangs, which direction does it curl in? normal scales curl with the direction of the scales curvature, i'm curious if these hang stiffer, because the curvature is on the other side. s

    would you be mad if..

Now that there is the thought that depresses me.. Whenever i sell a shirt(scale) I always say it is NOT SCA combat useable, it is a dress shirt only. And I dont think about it anymore, because It would sadden me to know something I worked so hard on was turned into so much useless garbage at pensic in 1 weekend. s

I'm selling this awesome Scale shirt that this person named Katlee made. You should definately check her out and order her stuff, it's badass. I'm not sure that would piss me off, from what it sounds like, the guy was impressed with his work, sold the piece for a nice profit9no biggy) and told people they should definately order from him. To whit several people have contacted him with orders. I really think some of you are getting worked up about nothing on this one. Until this guy tries to get a cut from him for sales driven to him, He simply represents a happy customer, who is putting enough praise on Exxes work that it is selling bigtime. I wish I had enough orders I could turn some away. As it is, I maintain 4 different hobbies which generate income for me, as well as 1 full time job, and a part time job. How about this, if this was just a blog saying how great they think exxes products are, and points you towards him so you can purchase them, would we even be talking about it? I think its just a combination of the reselling(which as i stated is perfectly fine) with any 2nd action. enjoy the love this person is sending you exxes. s

If you made it for a discount because he was a friend, yeah i'd be pissed. Otherwise its just the free market. I've purchased things at wallmart that were rediculously underpriced, and then resold them on ebay. Should walmart be pissed? It's basically the same thing. Like Marky says, if it sells, great raise your prices, because your underselling yourself. And if you do ask him to take it down because you dont like it. Let me be the first mailer here to say, give him My email, I'd be more then happy to sell to him and his friends. I dont care if he doubles my price as profit for himself. I can crank out a shirt in about a week.(not a whole lotta free time, but i'm quick)

    How big are your orders?

I only make suits of scale, so orders fall between 100& 200. I've been trying to buy itn all in one shot, but until I wrote my excel sheet which i use to design my pattern, i always seemed to fall short, and have to pay more shipping boooooo

    Looking to buy scale vest

it's not the "seems" that i dont care for, its the point they join, where the scales change directions that looks weird to me. I like everything to flow evenly. s

That picture is only of the front done, I have pics of the whole thing done in the gallery, It looks good. How to get scales like this?

http://wolonghuagong.en.alibaba.com/product/358920572-200448902/Metallic_finish_powder_coatings.html?tracelog=cgsotherproduct1 Has several powder coatings like the patterns shown from the manufacturer in ontario. You'd have to find an intermediary for ordering who supplies smaller amounts as they want to sell no less then 1000kg at a time/. plus shipping from china
