    scale flowers??

I punch a hole in on one of the scales and sell them as pendants for $15 with an 18" chain. They did okay at $10, and they do much better at $15. I haven't tried attaching them to hair clips, though.

Tips, Tricks and Advice on doing shows?

I usually have a canopy, but this was State Fair, so we were in a garage-type enclosure which had electricity and was rain-proof. I'm quite earring-centric. All the earrings on the walls are "business cards" printed from Vistaprint with my contact info with plastic hooks from Rings and Things on the back. These are hooked on wire rack shelves and customers can take them off, but they are fairly secure on the wall. Spinning rack in the corner is DIY. Two wood discs, stained all pretty and drilled so the white wire shelves fit in there nicely. Ball bearings on the bottom so it spins, and it was the most amazing small earring impulse display ever. The most useful thing I can recommend for you is the trays on the tables. They hold all my bracelets (would be good for wallet chains, too) and for set up, I just take them out of the case. At the end of the day, I put them back in the case. Easy. I waited for sales on Fetpak and FMG to get all that I have, and I'll probably get a few more. The case I have holds 15 trays, and the black boards on the wire earring walls hold pendants and also go in these trays. https://www.fetpak.com/index.php/jewelry-displays-jewelry-cases-countertop-displays-showcases-jewelry-cases-jewelry-trays-jewelry-tray-inserts-gemstone-trays-jars-c-99_111 http://www.firemountaingems.com/shopping.asp?skw=KWCTDISPLAYTRAYFULL Also of note in display coolness - the back tables and the front wheeled display have boxed jewelry, some pendants, some earrings, but for some reason the customers at this show really gravitated towards the boxed jewelry. It wasn't even the extra allure of a box, many handed the box back to me because it was hard to fit in their day bag. And the boxes that sold were off the back tables, not necessarily the front rack. All those racks were Borders closeouts. They're gift card holders. Boxes are 2x3ish from Uline. Perfect fit. And I fully support the lights around the sign.

To Etsy, or not to Etsy, that is the question

Do not price competitively with Etsy. You will not make any money. Know the cost of your goods and the cost of your time, and price accordingly.
  7. I'm a full time mailler. As far as sucking the fun out of mailling: I find that there are enough tasks within the business to keep me occupied, and when I get sick of one aspect, I move to another. I mean, there's new design, there's production work, there's costumes, social media, advertising, pictures, talking to customers at shows and online, and if that's not enough, I do wirework, too.

    Power Cutting and Pre-Opened Rings

Won't stretching the coils mess up your ID pretty badly? (curious) And can you do it evenly across the whole coil?

How do you display your handflowers (slave bracelets)?

https://www.nilecorp.com/products.asp?sku=HD333 These ones aren't bad, but I like to put a little block or something under the wrist to prop up the hand and show off the handflower better. I had a hard time finding a hand display that showed the back of the hand, most of them show the front.

    Skittles, the Rainbow Dragon

I make tiny 4 inch hatchlings too, but the big 3 foot one brings the wow factor to my booth.

    Skittles, the Rainbow Dragon

Mostly 16g 1/4" rings. Uncoiled, he's three feet long. I'm planning a 12g version after the Christmas crazy dies down.
