    Half Persian frustration

I wish I could come. I have had a family emergency and am spending my weaving time sitting bedside in the ICU this week. Is it a yearly event?

    Half Persian frustration

Thanks, everyone! After I recover a bit from the frustration I am going to give there methods a try and see what helps

    Half Persian frustration

I just can't seem to figure out how to do half persian weaves. I have looked at all of the tutorials on the MAIL site and still can't figure out how to get it started. I can do full persian, no problem, but whenever I attempt HP I end up with a terrible mess of rings and can't figure out where I went wrong. I just can't "see" where the rings go. Any suggestions?
  4. I think it looks amazing!

I had the same reaction. I just turned 43 as well, but that comment made me feel about 100. What's next? Not knowing The Far Side?

    Newbie bracelet

Thanks! I am not opposed to making more cuff like bracelets, and I feel like I should learn some new weaves. Do either of you have suggestions for ring size for 4-1 or dragonscale? I find myself getting so confused looking at the tutorials and trying to figure out what size rings to use. AR just does not make sense to me at all and I end up ordering things that are either too big or too small.

    Newbie bracelet

I finished a bracelet for a friend. Still need to work on my closures but overall I am pretty pleased and she liked it, so that counts for something, right? This is enameled copper. I am looking forward to getting my aluminum rings in to see the difference. So far I can do byzantine and full persian. Any suggestions on what to try next? I want to focus on bracelets for a bit, I think and just get better at weaving. So happy to have found this forum. I am really enjoying this new hobby (or is it an obsession?)

    What's in a name?

Mine is from college. There were two Kims in the department, and I was the shorter of the two. They tried "Little Kim" for awhile but I hated it, so they started calling me kimbalina as a joke and it stuck. Sometimes I have to add numbers at the end but not that often.
  9. I feel the same way. Once I started getting paid to do photography it took all of the joy out of it, so when I started this I decided just to make things for fun and for gifts. I still try and do my best, but if something does not work out it is not a big deal. And this way I get to try new weaves without any pressure.

    Kids with different needs...

Hi. I have an 8 year old son on the autism spectrum. He was diagnosed at 2 so we have had a few years now to get in the groove of things. Yes, having the diagnosis is the only way to get the supports necessary. My kid is great. Love of my life. Feel free to message me with any questions or just to chat. kimba
