    Storage on the Go

Ah see If I only take one or two with me, I mix and match the bins since they come out. XD

How do you store your rings and things?

We use these They've been my ALL time favorite so far. Each tool box is a certain set of rings - and there are 15 bins on top and 12 on bottom (the top ones are smaller and the bottom are huge!) and they stack and are super durable. We take them to shows with us and it really saves space since they stack., I havent had problems with migration of rings either

The second link is very much like what we used to use but the rings did migrate on us. The boxes we got from Home Depot don't migrate unless you really work at it - plus they're decently sturdy which is good since I'm, REALLY rough on stuff XD I was looking into the first one you and Zolsta linked but since we pretty much bring everything with us that's harder for us to transport >.<

    Crystals and Chainmaille

I was given a bag of the Swarvoski crystals because a friend didn't want them any more. They're this style: but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to work them into chainmaille - might as well use them, right? I couldn't figure out how to get them to fit in a weave of any kind - I think the hole sizes are 22ga >.<

We ended up buying three of the big bins and two small ones from Home Depot - they stack, have handles and dont mix the rings. I need one more and then we just shuffle bins depending what we want to bring.

You know I've never seen those? But I don't really look for that kind of thing either. I could look for that, too. I love the mason jars because of their size, they're so big they fit entire stock of things!

This is actually what our big box is! But I need like 34830984 more XD I was looking for some smaller solutions so I don't have to carry too many more bulky items. Ooh this is kind of what I'm looking for! They'd fit nicely in the small bins we bring. We try to pack as MUCH stuff in as possible, but the stupid normal trays just end up totally mixed! */

Oh yeah that's a decent size! Sorry! I'm a bad judge of size by looking And who says I can't bring multiples if it isn't enough? heeehee!

Oh that is awesome! I can't tell if they'd be big enough to hold what we normally bring with us, but that's just pretty freaking neat! (I'm pretty sure we tend to bring the whole kit-n-caboodle with us some days)
  11. I have been making random Chainmaille stuff for about ten to twelve years and my partner's been doing it for at least fifteen now. It's my side business (along with a few other things, hooray multi-talented person! Woo? ugh!) We sell online, to friends, family and at craft shows. I'd like my business to be my primary source of income in the future (my business doesn't just do chainmaille, though, it does photography, website design, martial arts teaching and computer repair). It's a hobby, too, though for me. As far as people mentioning weave ownership - I think it's hard to really "claim" ownership unless someone really researched and didn't find a particular weave anywhere before. There were makers of this stuff long before the internet, so people may have been the "first" to post it online and give it a certain name, but it's kind of hard to really make it "just" yours. As far as "copying" weaves, it happens. I think as long as someone doesn't go "I made this weave up all by myself" when someone really HAS claimed it as theirs [like, honest to goodness can prove it in a court of law kind of claimed], it shouldn't be a huge thing. I guess that's my two cents.

    Newbie bracelet

It looks lovely! I'm personally wary of using enameled copper for anything other than earrings\charms because its soft and so easy to pull apart. But I love the colors. From what I can tell your closures don't look too bad at all! My favorite bracelet weave is still 4 in 1 another nice one is Viperscale

    Storage on the Go

I've been trying to find a way to store our rings when we hit up shows. We generally work while at shows so non-portable doesn't work (I have a nice set up for non-portable storage at home!) We used to use the art bins from Jo Anne's etc but we've had a LOT of problems with the rings intermixing! [talk about a ten hour sorting project!] I have mason jars set up but I'm worried they'll break in transit. We don't want to use ziplock style bags because it's cumbersome and really kind of a mess to carry around. I've been hunting for something like bins or jars that are easy to store and carry and don't get messed up like bags can. I love my Mason Jars I'm just worried they'll break and well that'd be a NIGHTMARE! Anyone have any suggestions? I'd be much appreciative.
