Inlays with letters - what's the best weave?

Originally I was going to make a bracelet, but at the size it is now, it would be too wide for anyone to wear comfortably. I will try a lower AR. So my question, after looking through the gauges and sizes of AA rings available is the lowest AR I can find is 3.2. Is that going to be a tight enough weave to keep it looking right, or will I need to edge it in something like HP3-1? Thank you!

What is a good weave for making rings?

I'm curious as to your experience with making rings. What material? What weave? What size rings?

    Looking for white rings

Do you have white rings available? I thought I saw white listed as a color in the enameled copper section of your site, but when I went to actually buy them, I didn't see that they were available in any size at all. Help? Thanks! Jodey

    Looking for white rings

Nope, actually have no idea how it works. But I'll certainly do some reading on it. I definitely like having knowledge about the materials I work in. Thanks for the explanation!

    Looking for white rings

What does it mean to be etched white and sealed? I'm excited for white AA - will they come in 18g?

    Small Aluminum Scales

I adore the small scales - they make beautiful flowers that are great for pendants and bracelets. But...they are much much too big for earrings or "bunches" of flowers. So I'm curious if any smaller sized scales might be in the works up there at TRL. Thanks!
  8. is watching my little guy try not to fall asleep and thinking about smaller small scales.

E4in1 Patch - How can I finish the edges?

I've got a small rectangular patch of E4in1 made from 5/32" AA that I'd like to use as a pendant. My question is how I can finish the edges to give it form so that it doesn't fold in on itself. TIA Jodey

    Question about spiral pattern

This is so stupid, cuz I know spiral is one of the easiest patterns to do, but I'm having issue with it. It won't stay spiraled..I keep having to twist it everytime I add a ring. Shouldn't it, at some point, keep its spiral shape? TIA Jodey www.bikepartjewelry.com

    Plier help/suggestions needed please

Hi. I need some suggestions for pliers for making chainmaille. I work in AA, BA, SS, Copper, Brass, Bronze...these pliers will be for generally 18g and smaller gauges of SS and most gauges in the other metals (though I rarely go below 16g). The problem I'm having is that my current pliers hit me mid-palm and my pinky is starting to get numb at the tip. I don't know if I need ergonomic pliers, longer handled pliers or a combination of both. I generally use flat nose pliers to weave, so that is what I'm in the market for. I've checked out Wubbers, Lindstrom, Xuron and Tronex. My local bead store has the Tronex so I'm familiar with their quality. The problem with those is that the flat nose pliers are very narrow. I like to grab enough surface area on my rings so that I'm opening and closing them properly....the Tronex flat nose almost remind me of needle nose/chain nose pliers. So what kinds of pliers do you use? How are your hands faring? In addition, does anyone use duck bill pliers as opposed to regular flat nose pliers? Thanks very much in advance for your input.
