  1. I have a brain ache from making this maille tie knot. Gah!

  2. Just ordered lots of colors and a couple different shapes of spike beads. I can't wait to get them...I know just what I'm going to pair them with. :D

  3. Every time I write a tutorial, I am reminded how much I love sharing my craft.

okay maybe odd here but love to see the results. Sounds really cool and amazing that a man is that confident to request something. :D

      Yippie! Happy, silly dance :D

  5. Feeling stressed today...trying to maille to be unstressed, but it's not working. Probably because I decided to try to make a kippah out of maille and bike parts.

:( weave yourself a little present - just cuz.

Yeah, I agree with Bernice. I find just doing an 'easy weave' is relaxing and destressing.

  6. Rondo is very pretty...and very ring-y.

  7. Playing with dragons...

  8. I have been such a cooking fool today and yesterday. Grain free blueberry muffins, zucchini muffins, zucchini pancakes, banana cream cheese pancakes, spicy stuffed peppers and grain free pad thai. :D

Yummy. Sounds delicious. I hope it was all good.

  9. Making more Interwoven...:D

What size are you using, by the way? I did one with 18g 7/32" aluminum, AR of, I think, 4.6. SO beautiful. No color, but still looked good. Tried 19g 3/16" and it isn't nearly as nice, too big of an AR.

  10. I'm officially in love with Interwoven. Such a pretty weave.

I love this weave with colors. Making each side different colors is really neat when you use a tight AR.

  11. I'm having a great time making whirlybird pendants.

  12. Has had 2 photo shoots in the past week with professional photogs using my jewelry and maille clothing. I can't wait to get the edited pics back. I've seen most of the raw, unedited photos and there are some spectacular shots.

Yep! Photos for my website and facebook. I'll post one in the adult forum in a few.

  13. My brain hurts...got 3 pages of this tutorial done. Scale placement is more difficult to describe than I imagined. :D

XD well could make use of large, high res photos to help maybe? Unless you're meaning for the tut to be text only.

Zero...scale bra. Blind Maille: it's pics and text, in PDF format. But if you need larger pics, I'm sure we can work that out. :D

I just may have to bug ya for larger photos. I have been wanting to learn how to make the bras.

  14. I am totally in love with Candy Cane Cord. It looks hard to make, but it's really simple! :D

  15. I am feeling extreme hatred for this scale bra right now.

I have one more thing to try and hopefully it will do the trick. This trouble I'm having is good in a way because I'll have a long list of what NOT to do to put in the tut. Silver lining or something. :D

    3. Jax25

      Jax25

You're putting silver lining in the bra? *wink*

  16. I have to wonder if the reason I'm having to redo some stuff on this scale bra is because I was paying more attention to the guy who plays Oliver Queen on Arrow than where I was placing rings last night. Can I get an AMEN for that dude? I love it when he works out on the show...*fans self*

Amen, with a capital "Ahhhhhh" ;)

  17. I'm going back to basics this weekend. Made HP3-1 from 16g 1/4" bronze, brass, copper and 18g 7/32" brass and copper; 1 of each. Now going to make HP4-1. I'd forgotten how beautiful these weaves are, and so simple.

  18. I am SOOOO happy to have finished the major part of the scale bra I've been working on for what seems like EVER...just have to put the contractions in and do a few other fitting type adjustments, then get it photo'd, etc. Sigh of relief.

  19. I seriously cannot get over how delicious this chocolate ice cream I made last night is. I posted the recipe in the chat room. I want more ice cream recipes! Share yours!! :D

  20. :D Down 25.2lbs. Unbelievable. In a good way.

@Tactical, I'd say I'm near 100% primal. I do eat out on occasion, but I refrain from grains...going so far as to bring my own celery sticks to the Mexican restaurant so I can eat the salsa and guac without eating corn. I eat very few processed foods...the ones I do eat are processed due to the processing necessary to make xylitol or powdered/liquid stevia. I also am Primal in my exercise...walk a lot, lift weights, do intervals/sprints (on the bike for now). I try to get enough sleep...

PlutoniumX - it really is amazing. And what's truly amazing to me is that I really don't miss the "regular" carbs that most people would think they'd miss. I am loving fruits and veggies way more than I ever loved any grains...and I feel so much better that it encourages me to continue.

@madd-vyking: Thanks! I'm pretty damn proud of myself. :D

  21. Hilarious...one of my crabs just glomped on to a shell to check it out and promptly fell down a hole another crab had dug. I guess the one that fell saw the other crab and he backed out as fast as he could. Yes, crabs CAN trip over their own legs. :D

  22. Awwww yeah!!! 21.2 pounds down! (I always feel like I have to put the ".x" or I'm not telling the whole truth...weird, I know). But anyway, *does a dance*

Very happy to hear of your success. Need to lose weight myself, but not willing to go where you've gone with your diet. Just not gonna give up my carbs to that level. Soda, juice, sweets, etc...no problem...but I'm not giving up my baquettes and rice...

It's definitely not for everyone. I never thought I'd be able to give up bread, but it doesn't bother me to not eat it. I did it in steps, though. I didn't just give everything up at once. That never works.

  23. is so excited to have figured out how to make almond flour that is as finely ground as what you can guy at the store. #primal

I know you can turn sugar cubes into icing sugar using a blender. Is that what you used?

    2. bikepartjewelry

      bikepartjewelry

I actually used my coffee bean grinder. I made some almond flour the other night in the food processor, but it wasn't as fine as the store bought. Tonight's is indistinguishable from store bought, and half the price! :D
