    Crotalus tut

It's a tutorial not a 'who has the best rings' competition.

    Great stuff!

    Celtic Spiral Knot

Great work Tamarie, love it (I must make more). Lord Gremlin - that is so uber cool, I've been a fan of Dr Who my whole life right from John Pertwee. What a lucky accident!

The End & Beginning Is Near

It won't be as bad as you think it will. Yes the pain is terrible but it doesn't last too long and you know why it's happening and the result. Really I was terrified about childbirth but I got through and then I did it again! Really it's not so bad, not after. Good luck
  6. dragonfly - try a photo hosting sire like Photobucket. It's free and easy to post pics on forums from there, just copy the IMG link and paste into your post.

    An overdue terminology correction?

If AR is to be changed (or tried to be changed) I think keeping the A and the R is a good idea. However I do think this is a case of shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted and maybe a good idea to stop flogging that horse now that it's dead. Then again I'm sure my opinion on this counts for very little, I made maille for 15 years without knowing what the heck AR was!

Haven't been on in a long while

You're right on both counts there but I think the second point is the most important one. There have been many times that I've just turned off the computer in despair and it's not always just because someone speaks their mind. A awful lot of the time I have refrained from saying anything because I know it's going to snowball and get nasty. As far as I know Tawnos left (not banned) because he strongly disagreed about something, I have no idea what the something was???

Three Cheers for Beer! elfweave bracelet

Cool! You should be able to find gunmetal colour steel or nickle silver somewhere but I can't help with where, sorry.

    Shiny copper bracelets

I've been making a few things for an up coming show and I've been a bit lazy cutting my rings with a dremel rather than a jeweller's saw. The cuts are not as neat and flush but these will be a smidgen cheaper because of that. Hoodoo, love this weave (when it's done) 1.2mm copper wire 4mm ID. top side Full Persian 6in1, this is about as tight as it can get, it's so stiff it's more like a bangle than a chain. 1.2mm copper wire 6mm ID.
  13. Now that one I could legally own over here! Very nice.

Completely illegal here, which is a shame cause some of those are lovely!

Wow! I love ammolite (I have a few pieces) and that necklace is an awesome design, makes me think of ancient Egyptian collars. Great work.

After a discussion in 'Weaves Discussion' on MAIL I had a go at making two similar weaves, Vaskitsa was one of them. It turns out that once you get the ring sizes right this is a very nice weave. It flows through the fingers and looks very different on each side. I already have an order for a sterling one. 1mm copper 6mm ID, 1mm bronze 4mm ID. Top Bottom Top Bottom
