I use Picasa (free from Google) to organize most of my photos and you can export a picture(s) to a folder. When doing so, you have the option to re-size it.

I've done this for the last several photos I've posted here. Good size reduction and quality of resulting photo.

I also work night shift, in a group home for folks with developmental disabilities... I surf the web a lot and sometimes play minecraft, paint, maille, sew... It is indeed a good life, though in about 20 minutes I gotta start getting one of the guys up and ready for his day, then dish out their cocktails of meds and help them get breakfast.

So what were you originally posting about? I've been curious.

I, too, am on the night shift, but I don't get downtime. I am a medical language specialist and I'm the one editing the reports doctors dictate when they are exhausted.

Yes, I'm jealous.

yeah when I work night shift I am the only one in the Lab running tests for the whole Hospital so not much downtime there either. I want a job where Someone else pays me to do what i want too...

It wasn't quite night shift, but I used to work in a little 6-screen movie theater tucked away in a shopping center where no one could find it. Got paid for a lot of hours of homework and book-worming there.

When I got my 'Real Job' it was in data entry. Which most people think is a tedious thing, and yet, my coworkers would catch me doing chainmail at lunch and ask me how I could stand it. Really? Its practically the same!

Hello,
I am an author. My first book - The Poop Diaries - comes out in February. It features stories from plumbers about their most memorable service calls and people they have met. I love telling stories about real people who work in areas that we are all familiar with, yet unfamiliar with at the same time. As I wait for my first book to hit store shelves, I’m thinking about my next book. I’m considering writing a book called - The Night Shift Diaries. It would feature stories from night shift workers about their most memorable evenings - whether something funny, scary, exciting, or unexpected happened. I saw your posts on here and thought I would reach out. Do you have a “greatest hits” list of stories? If so, I would love to learn more. I’m flexible with timing and all interviews are done over the phone! Appreciate any and all stories any of you want to share.

Thank you!

Abby
