The AR for square wire rings and round wire rings may be stated as the same, but due to the geometry of the wire, the effective AR of the square wire rings is different. Some weaves that work for round wire will not work for square wire and vice versa. I think that the AR for square wire rings should be calculated using the length of the cross sectional diagonal of the wire. Maugan22 Report post Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) I did a recent square SS16g 5/16 bracelet for a friend's birthday, I much prefer the square for 4:1 persian over rounded. I put in a row of rubber rings as the closed ring on one side about 1/3rd of the way around so he can stretch it on without resorting to a clasp.
