small scale mirror aluminum doesn't have blue plastic covering?

Recommended Posts

I ordered 142 bags of small scale mirror aluminum (shown here: http://theringlord.com/images/products/scales/SCALE-SM-MirAL.jpg) which specificy that they have the blue plastic protective covering. This is a supplemental order to complete previous projects with the same scale.

I finally got my order and just opened it up and this is what I got: http://i.imgur.com/vLwkBZ6.jpg

So a little concerned at 142,000 scales are all in a big bag with no protective cover to keep the mirror polish. The ones I can see at the top seem okay, but I'm wondering if manufacturing process changed or if I was mistakenly sent the SCALE-SM-AAMIRROR instead of the SCALE-SM-MirAL? And since I haven't used the SCALE-SM-AAMIRROR before - I'm worried about whether you will be able to notice a difference when I change scales mid-project.

Anyways - I guess the best way to find out is just by trying it. If someone can clarify whether I got the wrong scales or if the SM-MirAl no longer has the protective blue film, that'd ease my mind a bit. Thank you!

I think they mentioned somewhere they have a clear one now not blue... or if you got the AA by mistake rejoice they are actually made of sterner stuff and more scratch resistant, lol
