Jamison Report post Posted May 29, 2019 Hello! Can anyone recommend a good Platicoat solution to coat pliers with in an attempt to prevent scratching and chipping on AA rings?
Rob MacLennan Report post Posted May 29, 2019 Plasti Dip would do the job, though you'd be better off buying pliers with replaceable rubber or plastic jaw covers. TRL has pliers with nylon covered jaws, and also sells replacement covers. I generally do OK with toothless jawed pliers. I just don't reef the hell out of the rings. https://plastidip.com/

lorenzo Report post Posted June 5, 2019 I've found heat shrink tubing to be a better solution than any other coating option. For myself I just smooth out the plier faces with some sandpaper and don't grip too tightly. 1 Rob MacLennan reacted to this
