To get to the point, I'm moving and need some money, so I thought I

would sell my armor.

I have two people interested but im not sure how much i should sell everything for.

So... I'd like to get some estimates from people on how much they think it should sell for.

I'm not asking you to buy it or for offers, but i'd like to get some opinions from people outside of my perspective.

So here they are

I have a chainmail vest, a studded leather top, a ringed leather top, and a

quilted/leather top. I also have some leather accessory armor to go with the

studded leather top.

pictures are ........

I haven't thought of any prices yet or what I'm willing to give them away for.... so again any idea's or opinions would be good. Don't worry about offending me.

If you could E-mail me at kungfuguru88@... to let me know, that would

work, or just reply on here.

Thanks,

~Ninjafudo

I suppose the search function must not be working, because we cover this topic ever other month in one of the other forums, Anyway.

Basic pricing is this: Materials x2 + time = price. That being said, you will rarely if ever get your time out of armor, most people simplely aren't willing to pay $1000+ for a pile of bits of steel.

As the pieces are already made and you have people interested, have them make an offer. Let the market determine the price.

It's impossible for me to estimate a price on your work, pictures are irrlevant to me for pricing. I have no idea your materials cost or your time used.

What you should charge can vary a lot between what the item is worth on the open market.

A simple butted chainmail hauburk takes me about 50 hours from wire to finished product. a fair labor price is about 15-20 per hour

I will never see 700 when India or pakistan can mail order them to a US or canadian dealer for less then 150.

I would look on Ebay and the armour archive and other group spacific forums at what other people are actualy getting for simalar work.

The highest prices are usualy paid at festivals and renfairs If you know a vendor perhaps they would sell on consignment.
